Just a year after the success of Capcom’s Resident Evil video game, a live-action film was already being discussed, with horror icon George A. Romero helming the project. However, Romero’s script was inevitably rejected by producer Bernd Eichinger and Capcom producer Yoshiki Okamoto. Now, Blizzard has found a way to bring a little touch of darkness from the game into the real world by allowing people in Los Angeles and New York to have evil flowers delivered to the special frenemies in your life.
This sinister Vases of Hatred floral arrangement was designed by celebrity florist Dead Flowers and inspired by the events of the expansion. Within the game, the villain Mephisto has the ability to infect and corrupt plant life and almost anything he touches. The flowers come in a vase that was designed to invoke Nahantu, the newly introduced location in the game that is under Mephisto’s control.

Although he stepped down from his position as Chairman of Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2019, Shawn Layden hasn’t been shy about sharing his views about the future of the gaming industry. And the former PlayStation boss believes that that the ongoing conflict of rival consoles between Sony and Microsoft should come to a close.
During an interview with Eurogamer, Layden likens the PlayStation and Xbox competition to the format wars between VHS and Sony’s Betamax decades earlier, which was won by the former before both formats became obsolete.

Black Ops 6 arrives on October 25, and tons of new information was revealed for multiplayer and Warzone during Activision’s Call of Duty: Next event on August 28, including live gameplay featuring Treyarch’s new omnimovement system. GameSpot was able to attend the event and speak with Treyarch about the changes in development for the new shared engine and how it enabled the studio to create Call of Duty’s new advanced movement.
The last Treyarch game was 2020’s Black Ops Cold War, which was a Call of Duty that was created on a shorter development cycle and required a pivot to work-from-home conditions during the pandemic.
